Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
American Heart Association Emergency and Cardiovascular Care
Service Description
The American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is designed for healthcare professionals who manage cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course emphasizes high-performance team dynamics, early recognition of patient deterioration, and evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes. Participants will review and apply AHA ACLS algorithms for cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, bradycardia, tachycardia, and post–cardiac arrest care. Through case-based discussions and hands-on simulations, learners practice advanced airway management, ECG interpretation, pharmacology, and effective team communication during high-stress resuscitation scenarios. Successful completion of the course requires active participation, skills testing, and passing the AHA written exam. Upon completion, participants receive a two-year American Heart Association ACLS Provider certification, ensuring they are prepared to lead and perform confidently during cardiovascular emergencies when seconds matter most.
