Naloxone Training
Service Description
Naloxone Training teaches participants how to recognize and respond to suspected opioid overdoses quickly and safely. This course covers the signs and symptoms of opioid emergencies, activation of emergency medical services, administration of naloxone, rescue breathing considerations, and post-overdose care. Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to provide lifesaving intervention in the community, workplace, healthcare, public safety, and field environments. What does this course teach? Recognize the signs and symptoms of a suspected opioid overdose Properly administer naloxone in emergency situations Activate emergency medical services and provide appropriate follow-up care Perform basic lifesaving interventions, including rescue breathing and patient monitoring Improve confidence in responding to opioid-related emergencies in community and workplace settings
